I give The Cay (5 star rating) and my comment about the book is...

                                            Racism

Race, skin colour and religion doesn't matter as long you trust each other.

Artist Street Art (Mural)

 1) The significance of the objects and characters?

I think it's about how the community is changing and being wrecked and rebuilt, just like how the  penguins are moving.

2) The significance of the colours used?

The colours used in this mural are dark blue, light blue and white, it gives me arctic vibes and it looks very cold just like our cold crisp mornings.

3) The location of the art work and why it's important?

This art work is displayed near the corner of Oxford Terrace and Worcester Boulevard, CBD Christchurch.
I think this is important because of the changes happening in the community because of the earthquakes that happened. And there are new ways to adapt and embrace the changes just like these penguins are moving around and how the ice bergs are melting.

Cartoon Task (catch it)

Scene One:

At home

I can see a small space and dim light. It reminds me of the burrows I have seen on tv that animals dig out as their home. I can see they are all huddled together sleeping so there is not a lot of room. The inside of the burrow is brown so it is dirt that has been dug under the ground.

Scene Two

 First activity of the day

The meerkats look very anxious because there isn’t enough food but they still go to the tree to go get a fruit.

`Scene Three:

A feared enemy

But before they could, the bird comes and takes the fruit thingy and flys away the meerkats got mad

Scene Four:

Enemies revenge

The bird takes the meerkats into the sky because the meerkats can’t fly as revenge for the fruit in the first place.

Scene Five:

The Rescue

They get the fruit and the bird slammed into a rock wall.

Scene Six:

Sport nirvana

The bird got karma for taking the fruit.

Scene Seven:

The End

They got the fruit back and he scored!!! A goal.

MY BIRD MASCOT (peacocks)

 PEAFOWL OF THE SKYLINE

Scientific name: Pavo Cristatus

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS BIRD?

Because the peacock has a very similar personality to me.They love social situations, they love appreciation, and loves to be the center of attention.

WHAT IS IT AFRAID OF?

Peacocks are usually frightened of dogs,If you have a invisible fence, you can keep you dog in the yard to discourage visits. The stinky stuff may delude the birds into believing there is a wild and predacious canine nearby.

IS YOUR BIRD SMART?

Peacocks are not very smart but they are about as bright as a domestic turkey.

HAS YOUR BIRD BEEN A SYMBOL OR A ICON?

In 1963 the peacock was declared as India's national bird because of its rich religious traditions.

IDIOMS:

''I'm proud as a peacock''
''Vain as a peacock''

PARAGRAPH:

I choose the peacock to be my mascot because peafowl's love to be the center of attention in a big group of people, the colors on its tail is very bright and bold and i love the color red.Peacocks also love to be around people and show off which is totally me and they can be very shy at times to that's why they don't always show there beautiful tail which is also be me because i can be capable of many thing's but i just don't show it peacocks can be very innocent looking but you must just never know.
